Executions

Anjaneyasana

Crescent Moon Pose

Pronounced (aa-n-juh-ne-yaa-suh-nuh). This  traditional pose is named after Anjana—the mother of the hero Hanuman. Through penance and devotion, she was able to relieve herself of her suffering on her own. An admirable trait that the people of India have always embraced and embodied. But nobody, no matter how strong, should have to go through tough times alone as Ajana did.

It’s time to Pose it Forward.

Vrksasana

Tree Pose

Pronounced (vrik-shahs-anna). This traditional pose is meant to align and ground the body with the beauty and wisdom of nature. Even when challenged with an unexpected force; a concept the people of India know all too well. But remember, even the strongest of trees among us have roots planted deep. Roots that are there to help support them in weathering whatever storm comes their way.

It’s time to Pose it Forward.

Virabhadrasana II

Warrior II Pose

Pronounced (veer-uh-buh-drahs-uh-nuh). This traditional pose is named after Virabhadra—a strong and fearless Indian warrior. Every day the people of India show their strength and determination, the same way Virabhadra did all those years ago. But remember, in the face of battle, even the toughest of warriors need a helping hand sometimes.

It’s time to Pose it Forward.

Give India Story>

Just because it’s not a part of our news feed doesn't mean it's not still happening. The COVID surge in India is a severe health crisis that needs all of our help. They require PPE, resources, visibility, and action. That's why Big Spaceship created Pose it Forward, an initiative to contribute to COVID relief for India.

As we all know, yoga has been widely adopted by western civilization, but its cultural significance and Indian origins have largely been forgotten. In America, Yoga is a 1.6 billion-dollar-a-year industry–it's time for some of that to flow back to India.

Pose it Forward, and these beautiful prints have been created to change that. By educating the masses, we can also raise money for those who need our help.

The artist of these prints is Big Spaceship alumni, Krithika Sekar. Krithika was born and raised in India. When she came to the United States, she saw firsthand how different yoga was. Through her artistry, she hopes to raise money for India while continuing the vital conversation of culture and why it's important to educate yourself.

Although we'll be raising money now through August 15th, there are only a limited number of prints available. Donate today, and get yours while they last! 100% of your donation will go to Give India. U.S. Shipping only.

$35 minimum donation: 1 print

$70 minimum donation: 2 prints

$95 minimum donation: Complete set

Still want to donate, but don't want a print? Any size contribution is welcome and appreciated.
